Lowell Kollmann
Lowell Kollman, 73, of Galt died unexpectedly on Nov. 6, 2007 in Sacramento. He was born on Nov. 18, 1933 in St. Cloud, Minn.
A retired engineer for Pacific Bell, he grew up in Madera and later moved to San Jose where he lived for more than 40 years. He moved to Galt to be close to family. As a U.S. Marine Corps sergeant, he did radio communications during the Korean War. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching judge and law shows as well as being a S.F. 49er’s fan.
Surviving are sons, Scott (Sharon) Kollmann of Galt and Keith (Kathy) Kollmann of Templeton; daughters Leslie Kollmann of Herald and Kathy (Mark) Clare of Galt; eight grandchildren, Travis (Sheila) Kollmann of Galt, Sarah Espinoza, Josh Shepherd, Meghan Clare, Alex Clare, Tyler Kollmann, William Clare, Emily Kollmann; and four great grandchildren, Andrew and Samantha Kollmann, Haley and Simone Espinoza.
In January 2007 his wife, Joy Kollmann, preceded him in death.
At his request, there will be no service.
Jacquelyne Alatorre
Jacquelyne Alatorre, 43, of Galt died Nov. 27, 2007 at a local hospital. She was born Jacquelyne Hanlan in Los Angeles on Dec. 8, 1963 and has lived in Galt for 25 years.
Mrs. Alatorre was a homemaker, loving wife and mother.
Surviving are her husband, Eliseo Alatorre; four children, Angelina, Eliseo, Jose and Victor; and one grandchild, Elih Gutierrez.
A memorial service was held Dec. 1 at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church with committal following at Galt Cemetery.
Ben Salas Funeral Home handled arrangements.
Rodney Wiley
Rodney Wiley, 59, of Galt died Dec. 1, 2007. He was born April 28, 1948 in Hawthorne.
A resident of the area for 50 years, he had been employed as a security guard. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and liked a “good find” at flea markets and garage sales.
Surviving are his parents, John and Sue Wiley; sister, Kendra Douglass; nieces and nephew, Marlo, Casey, Kristyn and Nevin.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 5, at Galt Cemetery. Ben Salas Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Evelyn B. Lansford
Evelyn B. Lansford, 78, of Galt died on Dec. 3, 2007. She was born Evelyn Brazil on March 6, 1926 in Stockton.
Mrs. Lansford was a homemaker and had lived in Stockton for 18 years.
Surviving are her children, Susan Collins of North Carolina, Debra Rouppet of Galt and Diane Wallom of Galt; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Harold Lansford, Sr., and son, Harold Lansford, Jr.
There will be on services, and committal will be private in Galt Cemetery. Ben Salas Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
