Jackie Lee Westfall
Jackie Lee Westfall, 75, of Lodi and formerly of Galt, died Aug. 14, 2008 in Lodi after a 10-year illness. He was born on June 22, 1933 in Bicknel, Ind.
Jackie also lived in Lodi, Stockton and Pollock Pines. He was a mechanic who worked on autos and farm equipment. He was a member of Calvary Life Tabernacle in Galt and enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing, watching car races, helping people, and going to church. He also served in the Air Force First Infantry Division during the Korean War.
Surviving him are his wife, June Westfall of Lodi; children, Dan Westfall of Livermore, Carol Whiteside of Folsom, Beverly Velasco of Galt, Cindy Thornhill of Oklahoma, John Martinez of Indiana; and four grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers.
A chapel service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 20 at Calvary Life Tabernacle, 446 Third Street in Galt.
Committal, with Air Force honors, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21 at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon.

William E. Avery
William Edward Avery, 59, passed away in Tracy on Aug. 10, 2008. He was born Feb. 23, 1948 to George and Gladys Avery in Deadwood, S.D.
Bill and his family moved to Lodi in 1977, then to Galt in 1989. He was employed at Connect Television as a supervisor.
His parents and his sister Barbara preceded him in death.
Bill is survived by his wife, Kerry (Bakke) Aver; son, Kenneth of Elk Grove; daughter, Teena of Rancho Cordova; granddaughter, Amanda of Galt; brothers, Gerry of Spearfish, S.D., and Chad of Tucson, Ariz; plus nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family, friends and co-workers was held at the Avery home on Saturday, Aug. 16. Kerry wants to thank all of Bill’s family, friends and co-workers for their outpouring of support and kindness during this time.
Anastazia O’Donnell
Anastazia O’Donnell, 84, of Galt died Aug. 18, 2008 in Lodi after a lengthy illness. She was born Anastazia Zin on April 22, 1924 in Poland.
She had lived in Galt 20 years, but also lived in Florida and Philadelphia. She was a homemaker who loved her family and was a member of St. Christopher’s Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph G. O’Donnell of Galt; son, Raymond O’Donnell of Elk Grove; and grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew and Elizabeth.
A son preceded her in death.
Visitation is planned for Thursday, Aug. 21, at 9 a.m. at St. Christopher’s, followed by Rosary at 9:30 a.m. Mass will be at 10 a.m., with committal following at Galt Cemetery.

Phillip D. Dulaney
Phillip Dean Dulaney, 75, passed quietly at home on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008. He was born in Winfield, Kansas on June 22, 1933.
Phil received an honorable discharge from the Army as a helicopter mechanic and later retired from Local 49 as a financial secretary treasurer. He showed great community support as a Scout leader. He was an avid reader who enjoyed Norman Rockwell puzzles.
Surviving him are his wife of 39 years, Linda; children, Paige Ann Eddy, Christina and Fred Rhea, Nancy and Tim Domich, Tsgt Jonathan and Audrey Dulaney, Philip and Sherry Dulaney; seven granddaughters, Lannie and Emily Rhea, Aurora and Jordyn Dulaney, Caroline, Tawnie and Mackenzie Dulaney; brothers, Richard and Kenneth Dulaney; and sister, Patricia Swan.
A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26 at St. Paul, 8720 Florin Road, Sacramento. A memorial service will follow.
