Obituaries for June 6, 2007

- Henry E. Hauschildt
Henry Erwin Hauschildt, 75, passed away May 24, 2007 at Marshall Hospital in Placerville from complications after an extended illness. He was born Sept. 13, 1931 in Sacramento and raised on the family’s ranch in Galt.
Henry’s family was part of the pioneers of Galt. His great-grandfather, James Sawyer, was one of the builders of many dwellings in the city of Galt, including St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a dance instructor for Arthur Murray Dance Studios, something he enjoyed doing even after he stopped teaching. He worked for a few years at Aerojet General in Rancho Cordova, which he left to work full time at the Galt ranch.
His father, Erwin F. Hauschildt and mother, Inez Hauschildt Sanford preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Marilyn Houston Hauschildt; daughter, Karen Hauschildt Gutierrez and son-in-law Robert Gutierrez; grandsons, Cory and Zachary, all of Diamond Springs; sister, Ruth Pratton of Galt; niece, Norene Luis (Larry) of Galt; nephew, Harry Pratton (Sandi) of Sacramento; one great niece and three great nephews.
A private graveside service was held at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Stroke Association, American Heart Association and the Diabetes Association.
Arrangements were entrusted to Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home in Placerville.

Sonia Heinz
Sonia Heinz, 67, of Galt died May 25, 2007. She was the loving daughter of Leonard and Elsa Heinz; beloved sister of Bill and Pam Heinz, Bob and Sharen Heinz and James Heinz; devoted aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.
Sonia was an animal lover at heart and loved solving puzzles and crossword puzzles. She took care of her parents throughout life as they aged. She was a resident of the Sacramento/Galt area since 1966, a native of Pleasanton, and graduate of Amador High School.
Services will be private. Arrangements were handled by Galt Funeral Home.
