Illusion ends season with Best of the West Tournament

The Galt Illusion 16 and under team competed in the final tournament of the season last weekend in the Best of the West Tournament.
The Illusion had three games on Saturday and opened up the day at Freedom Park with an 8-0 win over the Nor Cal Tigers.
The Illusion opened up the bottom of the first inning with three runs against the Tigers.
Leanna Reyes started off with a single, then stole second and third base before scoring on an error for a 1-0 lead.
Shannon Potthoff then hustled around the bases after hitting a long fly ball to left field for an inside-the-park home run to give the Illusion a 2-0 lead.
After Riley Sexton walked, Alyssa Cuevas, who acted as a courtesy runner for Sexton, advanced to third on Allison Barsetti’s out.
Morganne Nimmo then hit an RBI single that scored Cuevas for a 3-0 lead.
The Illusion added another run in the second inning.
Karissa Patwell opened the inning with a lead off single, but was caught stealing at second.
Laura Villano then was hit by a pitch before stealing second and third bases.
Villano then scored on a base hit by Reyes for a 4-0 Galt lead.
Galt added two more runs in the third inning and two in the fourth inning.
In the third inning, Sexton reached base on a walk and Cuevas, her courtesy runner, stold second base.
Barsetti then hit a ball that was mishandled by a Tiger fielder, allowing Cuevas to score for a 5-0 lead.
After Nimmo reached base, Barsetti scored for a 6-0 lead.
In the fourth inning, Reyes reached base on an error and advanced to third base.
Greenhaw then hit an RBI single that scored Reyes for a 7-0 Galt lead.
Greenhaw later scored on an error for an 8-0 lead.
The game ended at the end of the top of the fifth inning, due to time limits.
Sexton pitched a complete game and struck out 10 out of the 21 batters she faced.
In their second game Saturday, the Illusion shut out the Famous Babes 15-0.
Dalbianco faced 11 batters, striking out six and allowing one hit. Leanna Reyes was 3 for 3 with two doubles and one triple.
Greenhaw was also 3 for 3 with one double and two singles. Sexton was 2 for 2 with one triple and one double.
Against the The California Creed, which the Illusion defeated 7-4, Dalbianco went two innings, recording only one strikeout and allowing three hits.
Sexton threw the last three innings, allowing five hits and securing the win.
Greenhaw went 2 for 2 with one triple and one double, Potthoff was 1 for 2 and Sexton was 1 for 2 with a triple, while Barsetti was 2 for 2 with two singles.
Sunday morning against the Wolverines, Dalbianco threw a one-hitter, recording six strikeouts for a 6-0 win. Reyes went 2 for 2 with two doubles, Potthoff was 2 for 3 with one single and a double, Sexton went 2 for 3 with a single and a double, and Denora Perez was 2 for 3 with two singles.
In their last game against the Napa Screamers, the Illusion lost 6-3.
Sexton pitched two innings, striking out three and allowing only three hits and Dalbianco pitched two innings, allowing no hits, also with no strikeouts.
Barsetti was 3 for 3 with two singles and a triple, Patwell was 2 for 2 with two singles.
Nimmo, Sexton, and Greenhaw all singled.
