American Legion baseball season
gets under way in Galt

Outlaws are swept in doubleheader with Manhart


The Galt Outlaws were defeated in a doubleheader with Manhart Saturday afternoon at Galt High School.
The American Legion baseball contests featured an 18-0 Manhart shut out of Galt in game one, and a 9-1 Manhart win in game two.
The Outlaws are now 0-4 in District Six American Legion play.
Galt was held to four hits, while multiple Galt pitchers allowed 18 Manhart hits.
Kyle Burris went 1 for 3 with a single, Austin Canell went 1 for 3 with a single and Steven Keagy went 1 for 3 with a single for Galt.
Manhart pitchers combined for a no-hitter in game two, although Galt scored a run in the fourth inning against Manhart, which had three errors on the game.
The Outlaws’ next game is Saturday against Yolo Post 77 at 10:30 a.m. at Galt High School.
