Varsity girls track defeats Union Mine at home

Brittany Lampson won the 300 meter hurdles Saturday with her time of 49.94. Lampson also won the 100 and 300 hurdles against Union Mine.

Galt defeated Union Mine 111-24 in Galts first home meet of the season, three days before it sent athletes to both the Stanford Invitational and the Thunder Invitational.
Molly Nizzoli had perhaps her best meet last Wednesday, winning both the 100 meter dash and the 200 meter run.
Nizzoli finished at 13.62 in the 100 meter dash and at 28.55 in the 200 meter run.
Alyssa Coray finished second in both races, while Kaylon Walton finished third in the 100 meter dash and Hall finished third in the 200 meter run.
Dominique Fae won three individual events, including the high jump with her jump of 48, the long jump at 137, and won the triple jump at 311.5.
Amelia Raquel finished second in the 400 meter run with her time of 68.68, and Kelsea Tiapon finished third at 69.88.
Tiapon also finished second in both the 100 and 300 hurdles.
Alison Motor had two individual wins, finishing first in the 800 with her time of 2:31.19, and winning the 1600 with her time of 5:27.96.
Elizabeth Stanley finished first in the shot put and second in the discus, winning the shot put with her throw of 2910, and finishing with a throw of 835 in the discus.
Chrissy McElroy finished third in the shot put with her throw of 2810, while Samantha Lucero finished third in the discus with her throw of 817.
Sam Walling finished second in the 800 meter run with her time of 2:33.7.
Lauren Petersen finished second in the 1600 meter run with her time of 5:31.34.
Sadie Stephenson, a freshman, won the 3200 meter run with her time of 12:38.3, and Amber Bullard finished third at 14:02.9.
Brittany Lampson won the 100 hurdles with her finish of 16.75 and won the 300 hurdles with her finish of 51.27.
Crystal Brown finished third in the 100 hurdles with her time of 20.07.
Sara Walling finished third in the 300 hurdles with her time of 54.05, and finished second in the high jump, long jump, and triple jump.
Karina Orejel finished third in the high jump and the triple jump, while Lauren Reuthinger finished third in the long jump.
Coray, Lampson, Hall, and Nizzoli won the 4x100 relay at 53.32.
Hall won the pole vault with her vault of 8 feet, and Raquel finished second with her vault of 7 feet.
Motor and Petersen qualified for the Stanford Invitational Saturday in Palo Alto, and tested their skills against a select group of prep athletes.
Petersen finished fourth in the 3000 meter run with her time of 10:14.94.
In the one mile run, Motor finished 23rd and Petersen finished 27th.
On Saturday, Galt also sent athletes to the Thunder Invitational in Rocklin.
Lampson finished first in the varsity 300 meter hurdles with her time of 49.94, and finished seventh in the triple jump with her jump of 304.25.
Hall finished eighth in the pole vault with her vault of 7 feet, while Stanley finished seventh with her throw of 8901.
