Family and friends honored five exceptional Galt Adventist Christian School students as they were promoted from the eighth grade on May 21.
All five had an opportunity to speak, and all gave thanks to those who were most important in helping them achieve their goals – their families and their teachers.
A very professional slide presentation and narrative was shown of each student growing up in and out of school. These were not just skimming the surface presentations, but a true look into their lives.
One impressive slide presentation was of Joshua Lanier, showing his struggles with serious health issues and how he and his family have overcome this adversity. Lanier is a fun-loving guy who has thrived academically since coming to Galt Adventist Christian School.
Lizzi Snow, class president and valedictorian, gave a very funny and touching speech about how the five students in this class shared very special times and how she will take this experience with her.
Snow, who has attended Galt Adventist Christian school since kindergarten, was awarded a $500 scholarship to Lodi Academy where she will be attending high school.
Board chairperson Ron Snow and principal Janice Deibel presented the diplomas.
