Parks Workshop
The last community workshop for the Park Master Plan Update will be held Wednesday, Aug. 13 at 7 p.m., at Chabolla Community Center, 600 Chabolla Avenue. For more information, call 366-7180.
Planning Meeting
The Galt Planning Commission will review the Draft General Plan 2030 and Draft Environmental Impact Report at its meeting on Thursday, Aug. 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall on Civic Drive.

Library Paws to Read
The Marian O. Lawrence Library in Galt offers Paws to Read: A Learning Program for Children every Saturday at 10 a.m., giving children the opportunity to read aloud to a trained dog.
GHS Class Reunion
The Galt High class of 1988 will hold its 20-year reunion on Saturday, Aug. 16 at 5 p.m., at the Cactus Mexican Restaurant in Woodbridge. For more information, contact Melodee Machado at (916) 275-0707.
Fiesta Dinner
Animal Friends Connection Humane Society will hold its sixth annual Fiesta Dinner on Saturday, Aug. 16 from 5 to 9 p.m.
Dinner will be catered by Habanero Hots Mexican Food and includes hors d’oeuvres and dessert. Local smooth jazz vocalist and keyboardist Dennis Sebastian will provide music. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased at Weigum’s Lodi Nursery on Ham Lane or Animal Friends Connection at 933 S. Cherokee Lane.

GCCC Board
The Galt Community of Character Coalition Board will meet at 4 p.m., on Monday, Aug. 18 at the Galt High School district office, 417 C Street, Suite B.
Galt Diversity Day
Galt Community of Character Coalition will present a Galt Diversity Day fair on Saturday, Sept. 6, from 2-6 p.m., at Galt Community Park at Walnut Avenue and Carillion Boulevard.
The public is invited to celebrate the afternoon learning more about what Galt community groups and organizations offer. There will be food for purchase, entertainment reflecting Galt’s cultural diversity, and activities for the kids.
Dinner Dance

Fall Festival
St. Christopher’s Church will host its 16th annual Harvest Moon Fall Festival on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 27-28 at the Galt Market grounds.
Features include a Saturday night dinner, Sunday morning breakfast, food booths, boutique, white elephant sale, silent auction, and other entertainment for the whole family.

Blues, Brews and BBQ
Galt Chamber of Commerce has scheduled its Blues, Brews and Barbecue event for Oct. 11 with cocktails at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. This event will be held at the Herald Barn and Community Center. The Studebaker Blues Band will provide music.
