Planning commission to make general plan update recommendation

The city of Galt has given notice that the Draft General Plan 2030 and Draft Environmental Impact Report are available for the mandatory 45-day review commencing July 24 and ending Sept. 5.
The Galt Planning Commission will review the documents and provide an opportunity for public input at their meeting on Thursday, Aug. 14 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Galt City Hall Council Chambers located at 380 Civic Drive in Galt.
The planning commission will review both the draft EIR and draft general plan, as well as any other evidence in the record with the intent of making a recommendation to the Galt City Council to adopt, conditionally adopt, or deny the Galt General Plan 2030.
The Galt City Council public hearing on the draft general plan and final EIR will be conducted in the fall and will be the subject of public notice when scheduled.
The Draft EIR, and Draft General Plan 2030 are available for public review and download at the city’s Web site http://www.ci.galt.ca.us. Printed copies are available for inspection at Galt City Hall located at 380 Civic Drive, the Galt Planning Department located at 495 Industrial Drive or at the Marian O. Lawrence Library located at 1000 Caroline Avenue.
CDs or copies may be purchased during regular business hours at the city clerk’s office. Please call ahead to ensure a copy is ready for immediate pick up.
